Editorial policy

Last updated October 2026

These are the standards we hold every story to. If we fall short, please tell us at hello@example.com.

Accuracy and sourcing

  • Facts are checked against primary sources wherever they exist: filings, official statistics, research and direct statements.
  • We link to the sources that matter so you can check our work.
  • We separate reporting from opinion and say clearly which is which.
  • Numbers are given with their date and source, and estimates are labelled as estimates.

Original work

Stories are written for Meridiem Daily. We do not copy other publishers’ articles. When we draw on someone else’s reporting, we credit and link to it.

Corrections

When we get something wrong, we fix it promptly and add a note to the story stating what changed. Significant errors are flagged at the top of the article. To request a correction, use the contact page.

Independence from advertisers

Advertising pays for this site, but it does not influence our coverage. Advertisers do not review or approve stories. Ads are labelled and kept separate from editorial content. Any sponsored or affiliate content would be disclosed clearly on the page where it appears.

Financial, health and legal topics

Articles on money, health and law are written to inform, not to give personal advice. They are not a substitute for a qualified professional who knows your circumstances.

Use of AI tools

We may use software tools for tasks such as spell-checking and research. Writers are responsible for everything that is published, and every story is read and edited by a person before it goes live.
